Real Stories, Real People
From Amber, a young mother of three, on House Bill 39's policy:
“When I expressed to my son about the bill getting passed, he began to cry and said:
“If the nurse isn’t at school, I won’t have to wait until I get home to breathe!”
This made me feel sadness and joy, sadness because not being able to breathe has to be a horrible feeling that no child should have to experience and joy knowing that from this day forward all children will have access to their necessary medications. Knowing I had a part, although small, in getting this house bill passed gives me feelings of gratefulness and pride."
