Every year, Voices crafts a new agenda for our policy work based on our policy priorities, community feedback from our summer Regional Forums, and current needs and trends identified by our policy partners.
This year, with the future of health coverage in limbo, we will be closely monitoring the situation in Washington as well as movement on Medicaid expansion and CHIP coverage here at home. Also in the health bucket, we will be watching for progress on the Behavioral Health Redesign and for opportunities to increase Ohio kids' access to healthcare in school.
Voices will remain a strong advocate for our youngest kids by working toward increased access to home visiting services and quality early care programs.
At the other end of the spectrum, Voices will continue its support for afterschool, employment, and mentoring programs for Ohio's youth. We will also work to ensure youth caught up in the juvenile justice, child welfare, and behavioral health systems receive coordinated, age-appropriate services and care.
